So this last weekend… Snow storm of the century! My parents were supposed to drive from New York to our house on Saturday, but there was travel ban in New York because the storm was SOOOO bad. It wasn’t that bad over here, just lots and lots of snow, but without the hurricane speed winds they had in New York. Zoey was desperate to go out and play in the snow, so we did and she had a blast!
We bought a sled awhile back and were excited to give it a try, so as I cleared the sidewalks with a snow shovel I piled snow in a hill sort of shape for Zoey to sled down. She loved it and asked for more every time she got to the bottom. Across the street from our house there is a very steep hill/ I thought she would be scared to sled down the big hill (I was scared to go down it!!), but when we got to the top she was ready to go. When we got to the bottom I looked at her face to see her reaction, she was quiet for a minute and then looked at me and said, “I WANT MORE!!!!!!!!!” Basically my baby is braver than me…
Last night when she didn’t want to go to bed we told her that if she did she could go sledding today, it worked like a charm. She hopped into bed and put her thumb in her mouth and was out in five minutes.
We ended up going a second time on this gigantic hill near our house on Kris’s school campus! I will share pictures of that later since it was super awesome. My dream is to live on a gigantic acreage one day in a big house with a huge fireplace so when it snows we can all go out and sled in the yard and then come in and warm up by the fireplace… Doesn’t that sound cozy??
