I finally got all our Christmas decorations up! I’m the type of person who usually is all decked out for the holidays pre Thanksgiving, but this one came up a little later than usual. Regardless- I’m really happy with how this turned out. Nearly every item used to decorate this room are from World Market. Below are 5 decorating tips for a beautiful, easy holiday design.
1. Trees
One thing great about using trees to decorate for Christmas, is that they come in all different sizes and prices, so you can put a tree in pretty much any space that needs decorating. In this room, I choose to put a tall skinny tree and a 6 foot tree.
2. Snowflakes and other wall decor
Snowflakes are a classic winter/Christmas symbol. In this room, I put some snowflakes on the wall along with hanging mirror and another hanging Christmas tree decoration. I think it looks like a winter wonderland in here
3. Candles
Candles work great for any season of decorating. I got some Christmasy scents for my entire household. They are simple and really set the mood to welcome holiday spirit.
4. Leafy Garlands
Here, I used a simple leaf Garland to complete the winter wonderland look of my family room. The cool thing about garlands is that you can get them in a bunch of different varieties; with berries, pinecones, snow, and more! They also look great on tables or stair railings.
5. Wreaths, Throw Pillows, and Stockings
Not included in my Christmas decorated room, but noteworthy decoration additions are wreaths, throw pillows and stockings. We have some stockings set up downstairs by the fireplace and a wreath on our front door.
