Finding Time to Exercise with a Busy Schedule

You will probably be shocked to learn this. Moms are busy. I know, your mind is blown.

I am being serious though. Being a mom is really busy. If it weren’t for Grokker I would never fit in a workout. Let me tell you how my typical morning goes:

7:15AM – Zoey banging on her door yelling HELLO!! At the top of her lungs.
7:27 – I roll out of bed and go get her, I try and go back to sleep while she plays (I was up till 2am working), but only in my dreams would that happen
7:28 – Zoey informs me she is ‘poopy’
7:29 – Zoey informs me that she is ‘huggy’ (hungry)
7:31 – Change diaper
7:33 – Zoey yells at me while I make her food, once breakfast is ready she takes one bite and decides she wants something else.
7:40 – Make breakfast number 2 for Zoey
7:50 – I set Zoey up with toys and start working
8:50 – I get in an hour of work before Zoey needs me to bring her to the potty – and then for the next hour she needs to go potty every ten minutes or so.
10:00 – Clean up the hurricane that happened while I was working
10:30 – Realize I am still in my pjs and haven’t eaten breakfast

This continues on and on. I love it and would not have it any other way. Zoey is my angel and I love my work. I will admit though, I never have time to get out the door to the gym. Since Kris studies full time I cannot leave Zoey with him during the day unless it is during her nap, but nap time is gold for me to accomplish other tasks as well. I never can afford to leave the house and spend her entire nap on one thing on my to-do list.
