The first piece of fall decor to get your house ready for fall is your front porch! I love covering mine in pumpkins, but first I need the perfect doormat! I suggest layering a large plaid mat, under a natural coir mat with a cute saying! My favorite base mats are this black plaid doormat, which I used last year, and this orange plaid doormat, which I plan to use this year.

You can’t decorate for fall without an assortment of fall candles. I am currently burning a pumpkin spice candle while I write this article. There is nothing that brings all the fall feels like a fall candle. Below are some of my favorite fall candles, shop all my top 50 fall candles here.
Fall Decor Pumpkins
You haven’t really decorated for fall until you have at least 15 pumpkins in your home. You’d think that decorative pumpkins would be the easiest fall decor on Amazon to find, but last year I spent HOURS searching before I found what I was looking for. You can see last years pumpkin finds here. The thing with pumpkin decor is that a lot of it is very cheaply made, and won’t even last the season. Beware of cheap/thin plastic and styrofoam pumpkin decor. It is ok to have a little of this, but it should be more supplementary to the main pumpkins. Thick plastic, and ceramic pumpkins are the best quality.
