As promised here are pictures of our date night last week! The pictures kind of run in order of what we did. First we went to dinner at J Corks, a restaurant unique to our town. We had never been there before but heard great things from friends and we ended up really loving it!

The next stop was this little cafe called The White Rabbit. We had also never eaten there but the students in Kris’ class talk about it non stop. We didn’t get any of the delicious looking pastries because we were so stuffed from dinner but we tried a Jamaican Ginger Beer, which was unbelievably good (and spicy!) and we got a rose petal lollipop and a chai lollipop. I was expecting the lollipops to have stronger, more unique flavors, but they kind of just tasted like sweet lumps of honey. Which is good, but not when you are expecting rose petals and chai!

After that we walked around town a bit before heading to the Palace Theater, another place we have been meaning to visit since we moved here over a year ago! Brian Reagan – a comedian that Kris and I love – was performing. We bought tickets almost a month in advance and our seats were perfect. This was by far the best part of the date. I have no idea how old The Palace theater is, but I LOVE old architecture and I was blown away by the stunning interior of the theater. It was obviously old and falling apart in some places, but it was filled with beautiful marble pillars, a vaulted brick ceiling, intricate hand carved moldings and more. I wanted to photograph everything but there were signs everywhere about not using your camera! The performance itself was SO good. My stomach literally was aching from laughing so hard the entire time.

On the walk home we saw the tree in the last picture, covered in blue lights. It is inside of a restaurant window that I can’t remember the name of, but I think we will make it our next stop when we go out to eat again. All in all it was my favorite date night we have had in quite awhile! Check out my other post here for some pre-date pictures with little Z and tips on how to get ready for a date.

Xoxo,
rach
