Can you guys believe I am having another baby? I can’t! It still seems so surreal to me. It happened SO fast this time around.
I already have picked out a carseat for the newest member of our family… I just can’t help myself buying all the baby things. As soon as I discovered this carseat I knew it was what I wanted to take our baby home in. I got our babe the Sirona M with Sensorsafe by Cybex, it has a removable infant insert, so it can be used from day one. It also has 12 adjustable shoulder positions, and can be used as forward or rear facing. This carseat will last till baby Burgess number #3 is about 65lbs.
Zoey got to take this Sirona M on a test run during a recent trip to the beach. I found the carseat very easy to install. The real reason I wanted to test it out is so I could see how the SensorSafe system works. The SensorSafe 2.0 monitors the well-being of your child through the smart chest clip. The chest clip syncs with an installed vehicle receiver through the OBD2 port, and the receiver sends alerts to your smartphone. How cool is that?!
The SensorSafe was originally designed to help lower the growing number of infant hot carseat deaths, but it has more features than just that that help ensure your child’s safety. The Sirona M with SensorSafe 2.0 will alert you through both the vehicle receiver and your cellphone for various unsafe situations. It will alert you if you accidentally leave your child behind in the car, it also alerts you if a child unbuckles themselves while the vehicle is in motion; if the back seat has become too warm or too cold; and if a child has been seated for too long. The app is very user-friendly and it also provides guidance on installation, how-to videos, FAQ’s and more.
Of course, it isn’t safe to be checking your phone while you are driving, you can leave that up to your copilot. If you are driving with your baby solo you can rely on the vehicle receiver to alert you of potentially dangerous situations. Then you can safely pull over and remedy the situation. You do not need the app in order to receive alerts.
Keeping my kids safe in the car is a top priority, and with three kids to keep track of, Sirona M makes it a little easier. I love how practical this carseat is when it comes to keeping your kids as safe as possible! And it is really exciting to think in a few months it will be carrying our newborn baby home.
Now we just need to find a vehicle big enough to fit all our carseats in it! Any suggestions?
