Breakfast is a meal I miss 99% of the time, so when we stayed at Gurney’s Montauk recently, breakfast every morning felt like such a treat. There was something absolutely magical about sitting in our little booth, with windows overlooking gorgeous ocean views. If I could somehow transfer this scene into my kitchen, I absolutely would. It was the perfect way to start every day.
The breakfast was a little more expensive than we are used to paying, but it was worth every penny. My toast came with three little jars of local jam that I got to take home with me and enjoy. I am not one for steak, but Kris’ could not get enough of their gourmet steak and egg breakfast. They even brought out a giant bowl of fresh blueberries for Zander. It wasn’t on the menu, but when they found out that that is what he loved they made sure he got it.
We ate at Tilly’s every morning of our stay at Gurney’s Montauk. If I could go back there today the breakfast is the first thing I would want to experience again. Just looking through these pictures brings back such sweet memories. The trip was so simple and rejuvenating. In my suitcase for our Hamptons vacation was a lot of my favorite ThredUP finds – including my top and Zander’s top pictured in this post.
