Hyatt Regency Clearwater Review

My family and I love to vacation. Have you noticed? If you have I bet you can guess our favorite spot. Thats right, Florida! We can’t get enough of the beautiful sunny weather, especially coming from dreary Erie. On our most recent trip we were hosted by my favorite beach resort I have ever stayed at. If you are looking for the best place to stay in Clearwater, Florida – I am about to spill!

We stayed the Hyatt Regency in Clearwater, right on the beach. This was not like any ordinary hotel. We had an entire suite. Our suite consisted of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen (oven, stove, dishwasher, etc), a living area, and a balcony with stunning views of Clearwater Beach and the iconic Pier 60. This hotel won my heart with its incredible service, beautiful rooms, the rooftop hot tub, beach view pool, and variety of other amenities. It is definitely one of the best places to stay in Clearwater, Florida. We will definitely be going back!

I am going to let Amber take over from here. She stayed with us at the resort, and spent a lot of time exploring the area around it (probably more than us with the kiddies). She will share all our favorite things about our stay at the Hyatt Regency. Kris and I both agreed her list summed it up PERFECTLY. If you aren’t convinced already, it will convince you that it is one of the best places to stay in Clearwater, Florida.

Hey everyone! Amber here. We had the BEST time at the Hyatt Regency in Clearwater on our latest trip to Florida. It was such a great experience in every way. While I won’t share every detail about why Hyatt is the best place to stay in Clearwater, every detail at the resort is meticulously in perfect. They make sure that everything is in place for all their guests.  Here is just 5 reasons you should make Hyatt Regency in Clearwater your next vacation destination:

1. Location

I am not exaggerating when I say that the Hyatt’s location is perfect. It is right in the middle of Clearwater beach, a short walk from the boardwalk, and all the amenities on the small island.  It is as close to the beach as a hotel can get (right across the street). So basically, you can park your rental car in the parking garage and not get in it again until the end of your vacation. That is exactly what we did for the week. There was no need for a car with everything in and around this beautiful resort.

2. Amenities

The Hyatt has a plethora of amenities if you get sick of the beach (or simply need a break from the sun). There is a pool that overlooks the beach, with a kids area. The kids were always asking if they could please go to the “kids cool” – which meant kids pool. They loved it. There were also kids activities that were going on daily on the pool deck, crafts like sand art, and more.

On the top floor balcony there is a hot tub. I guess not everyone knew about this place, because it was always secluded up there. Make sure you find it if you visit the Hyatt in Clearwater. It offers gorgeous panoramic views of Clearwater. There’s a breathtaking view of the beach, as well as the other side of the hotel, the entire island. There are few things better than sitting in a hot tub after the sun goes down with such an amazing view. No wonder they host high end rooftop weddings up there!

They have a fitness center that Kris and I frequented. It’s pretty small, but has everything you really need out of a gym. There are chilled towels, water, and disposable headphones, available at all times. Kris really liked the Peloton bike they had available.

A few other notable amenities they have are a spa, free fruity water (so refreshing on a hot day!), and of course all the good food. Speaking of food…

3. Food

The food was definitely a highlight. They have a stand where you can quickly grab yourself a breakfast or lunch salad. Starbucks was served here as well. They also had a few restaurants that serve top class meals and wines. As we were there, they were putting in an ice cream place right out by the sidewalk, so I imagine that place will be super tasty as well. I think we will have to make a trip back just to try this ice cream at the grand opening, since their signs boasted world famous flavors.

4. Service

We had the sweetest room attendant who was very friendly and personable. She did a great job making sure our suite was cleaned twice a day, and also made sure we felt so welcomed at the resort. There are few things better than getting into a freshly washed, made bed each night after a long vacation day. The people at the front desk of the Hyatt always say hi, and ask you how your stay is going. Everyone is just so friendly and eager to make sure your stay is just perfect. Customer service can make or break an experience, and theirs truly was the cherry on top of an already wonderful stay.

5. Environment

Because the Hyatt is known for being a business trip location, the environment is very professional. There are business people walking around with their briefcases and suits, and there is always some sort of event going on. In the hotel, they ask that everyone wears a coverup over their swim suit in order to maintain this level of professionalism. It has a really great, formal vibe, that makes it feel more high end and fancy. At the same time it is totally family friendly with tons of activities for the kids, like I mentioned the kids pool and crafts, and lots for them to do in and around the resort. Zoey agrees. It really is one of the best places to stay in Clearwater, Florida.
