Every time I think we are getting better this cold takes a turn for the worse. It is not COVID. Some people have asked me that. My in-laws were just here and got the same cold, before traveling back to Canada they had to be tested for COVID and it came back negative. Also, Kris and I have both been vaccinated, and we’ve gotten just as sick as the kids (other than Violet, she is the worst) so it wouldn’t really make sense if it were COVID. Other than Violet, no one else has gotten a fever, but we’ve all had the same symptoms besides that. The cough sounds like croup, so I think that is what it is, since that tends to effect babies worse, and Violet is definitely the worst. She spent most of the night last night sleeping on my chest, and we were up every couple of hours coughing. I had to crush up some cough drops because I ran out of the kids ones last night right before bed, and she will choke on adult sized ones. So throughout the night I was sprinkling cough drop dust in her mouth to help sooth the pain… She seems to be feeling a lot better this morning, but that is how it always seems to be. Nights are the worst. I am really hoping we come to the end of this soon.
