Today I am 22 weeks pregnant!!! The time is flying by so fast now that I am not nearly as sick as I was in the beginning. Why is that? Why do the worst days have to drag on for an eternity and the best days seem to pass in a blink? It is such a rude trick of life.
Now that I am able to eat again, this bump is growing so fast. Last week I could still wear most of my tops, but that is now comfortably out of the question. Comfort is basically my only priority when it comes to the way I dress right now, so I am feeling very grateful for all my maternity tops and dresses.
Right before I got sick, but after I knew I was pregnant (between weeks 4 and 5) I went on a major maternity shopping spree. I stocked up on all the essentials. Since I have always been pregnant in the summer, maternity essentials are mostly maternity dresses for me. Maternity shopping can be really expensive, so I went to my favorite site, ThredUP, where you can buy gently used clothing for a fraction of the price. It is a great place to shop for affordable maternity wear.
ThredUP combines the affordability of a thrift store, with the freshness and quality of new clothes, and the convenience of online shopping. For a little under $200 I bought myself 20 different pieces to add to my wardrobe. Do the math. That is a pretty unbeatable deal. Maternity clothes don’t get more affordable than that! You can search specifically for items that still have the tags, which is what I did for the first part of my shopping trip. About 50% of what I bought still had the tags on. Since ThredUP carefully inspects all clothing before selling, everything I bought was in like new condition.
Is finding affordable prices a priority when you shop maternity?! Check out ThredUP Maternity!
